Bloomberg New Contemporaries at the ICA
8.11.12
The Institute of Contemporary Arts was founded in 1947 as a ‘playground of ideas’ in which artists were encouraged to experiment and explore. The ICA exists today to challenge the foundations of contemporary art creating a space for new, experimental and independent arts practice and ideas. Like a lens, the ICA focuses on developments in contemporary art at any given moment. The programme is fast moving, fluid and reflects what is happening in the world.
Cass Art are proud to be supporting the ICA membership scheme. For £40 a year, and just £10 for students, every ICA student member can enjoy exclusive preview screenings, private views, discounts across talks, films and events, access to the ICA studio and much more. Bloomberg New Contemporaries returns to the ICA for the third year running. This year’s selectors Cullinan Richards, Nairy Baghramian, and Rosalind Nashashibi have chosen defining works by the most promising artists coming out of UK art schools from a range of over 1,200 submissions.
