Viridian is a powerful, fast drying, cool, bluish-green and is made from a variant of Chromium Hydroxide. It was first introduced in the mid 19th century and takes its name from ‘viridis’, the Latin word for green. Paintings that use it include Music by Henri Matisse, The Race Track by Edgar Degas and Mountain by Richard Tuttle. Made from polypropylene.
