This weekend the tenth Brighton Art Fair hosts over 120 artists from all disciplines working across all media at the historic Corn Exchange in the heart of Brighton. It promises to be an explosive weekend.
Brighton Art Fair annually brings together over 100 of the best contemporary artists from around the UK. It has established relationships with some artists year on year, but also exhibits whole new generations of artists. This fair is no exception, with the youngest ever exhibitor who is just 16 years old.
Cass Art believes in artists, and their ability to sell their work through fair platforms, for more information read about the Cass Sculpture Foundation. Brighton Art Fair allows artists to sell their own work direct to the public, which also gives visitors the chance to meet the artists and a more personal viewing experience. The Corn Exchange is also the perfect setting, with the beautiful spacious Dome café-bar for you to pass the time in.
To really celebrate their tenth year, Brighton Art Fair are supporting ARTHOUSE Meath, a charitable social enterprise offering art sessions, run by professional artists, to people with varying needs and abilities. ARTHOUSE Meath have exhibited their work at Brighton Art Fair in the past and this year all exhibitors were asked to take part in a collaborative piece. Each artist has produced their own piece of artwork on four wooden blocks (see Frances Bloomfield's blocks below). These are exhibited in the foyer and will be sold for £30 each. So get there early to buy yours, as we don't think that they will last long.
The Brighton Art Fair takes place from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 September. For opening hours and visiting information, visit the Brighton Art Fair website.
