Bunting, crafts, flowers and sandwiches are just a few of the things you might find at The Fair in the Square this Saturday.
The annual event is returning to Hampstead again this year, decking out Highgate Village with art, stalls and live performances to provide a day of summer fun for the whole community.
Local charities, shops and business will be selling crafts, plants, books and clothes, and you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to lunch, the stalls ranging from Asian to Caribbean to Briskett Salt Beef Sandwiches from the Duke’s Head.
Choirs, musicians and dancers will keep the tunes in the air, and the ever popular Sheep Show will be making a come-back alongside the many baking competitions.
There’s plenty to keep the children occupied too with a train ride, face-painting and a circus skills workshop. The kid’s tent, run by 24/8 Creative Kids and with art materials supplied by Cass Art, will be bringing back the popular plasticine sculptures from last year, and also give the little ones a chance to make Father’s Day and Good Luck England cards.
So what are you waiting for? Head down to Pond Square and South Grove this Saturday 14th June to take part in the summer festivities and get crafty with the kids.
Admission is free to the 2014 Fair in the Square, and it will run from 12:30pm to 5:30pm.
