Enter the Griffin Gallery Open and Win Up to £3000

 Are you an artist working primarily in painting or drawing? Looking for an opportunity to exhibit your work or get noticed by a panel of prestigious judges?

Then why not enter the inaugural Griffin Gallery Open, a new art prize to celebrate innovation, skill and commitment in painting and drawing.

The Griffin Gallery is a new and exciting space that actively encourages discussion about contemporary art, offering a platform for emerging as well as established artists. The Griffin Gallery Open is a new initiative, and applications are now open to enter your work.

WHAT YOU CAN WIN

80 selected works will be exhibited in the Griffin Gallery Open, and showcased for all to see from 23rd July - 21st August 2015.

Somee fantastic prizes from three leading art brands will then be awarded to some lucky winning works.

The Winsor & Newton painting prize is for works based in oil, watercolour, gouache or inks. The Liquitex acrylic painting prize is for works based in acrylic paint. Finally, the Conté à Paris drawing prize is for works in dry media. The winner of each prize will receive £1,000 cash, plus £3,000 RRP value in their art materials of choice.

The prizes will be awarded at the Griffin Gallery Open Private View on 22nd July, 2015.

HOW TO ENTER

You must be 18 or over to enter, and artists can submit up to 3 works made since 2010 for each of the major prizes. It costs £10 per artwork to enter. 

The Griffin Gallery Open exhibitors and prize winners will be selected by artist Ian Davenport, Saatchi Gallery CEO Nigel Hurst, and Griffin Gallery Director Becca Pelly-Fry. 

The first round of judging will be from digital submission, and then approximately 120 works will be invited in to Griffin Gallery for the judges to make their final selection.

Applications are now open, and close on the 25th May.
