Past event: Pop Art Design at the Barbican
To find out about our current events please refer to our events page.
As the final weeks draw closer, making a trip to the Pop Art Design is a must! Featuring a range of paintings, sculpture, furniture and all things in between, the Barbican offers a comprehensive insight into one of the world’s most bold art movements.
With more than 200 works from 70 different artists, the exhibition includes both iconic pieces and lesser known but equally prolific works. Masters of modern art such as Lichtenstein and Blake are showcased alongside the game changing design of the Eames brothers and Nelson. The Barbican provides us with a journey through art and design in the lavish culture of the fifties and sixties.
Why not finish off your visit with a retro cocktail from the exhibition’s Pop Bar? The Barbican really has thought of everything! The exhibition closes on 9th February so there’s just enough time to catch it.
