Description

Made of oiled beechwood, the Jullian Classic easel has most of the basic features of the famous original Jullian easel, including a metal lined drawer with adjustable dividers, brass plated fittings, a linen shoulder strap and moulded feet.

  • It is ideal for indoor or outdoor use and comes with a free carrying bag so it can be easily transported.
  • This easel combines the original Jullian quality at a very affordable price, and is great for artists who work both outside and in the studio.

 

This easel was designed to be use both horizontally and vertically.

Yes, the palette is including.

Q Hello, is this an original Julian Easel? What is the max. Canvas height in cm?

This is indeed an original easel - we don't sell any knock off products. The maximum canvas height that can be used is 173 cm.

Q Can The legs be detached for the box to be use on a table when indoors?
A

They can't be removed but they can fold up so the box can sit on a flat surface.

Q What is the max canvas height in cm?
A

Maximum canvas height 86.5cm

Q Hello, is this easel suitable for watercolour & acrylic painting ? will the surface go to a flat position whilst the easel is standing up ? Your description says the maximum canvas height is 173 cm and yet in one of the questions about maximum canvas height it says the maximum canvas height which can be used is 86.5 cm. Can you confirm which is the correct answer? Is the easel easy to assemble and does it come with assembly instructions ?

Yes this Easel is perfect for Watercolour and Acrylic painting the maximum siz of canvas it could take is 86.5cm just under a Meter, the 173cm canvas height is actually the measurment from floor to the top of the easel- it should state Easel height rather than Canvas, we will look at this and address it. Unfortunately this easel is not designed to hold a canvas whilst in transport stage.

The legs are adjustable, so you can lower them if you were sitting down.

Yes, this easel has a angle adjustment range from 0 to 90°

28th December 2018 Reviewed by Jennifer de Pontevès Quality of the easel is of superb with many adjustable elements to customize the height angles of work, so also suitable for serious artistic children over 10ish.
The adjustment points need to be strongly fixed in order to ensure that each point is stable, but once done is very solid. Excellent !

14th July 2018 Reviewed by Sandra Sandilands Very pleased with this easel. It's easy to put up and the trays are large enough to carry brushes and paints etc. The bag makes it easy to transport. I would make one suggestion and that is to have the strap padded at the shoulder as it's quite heavy and digs in to the shoulder when carrying. Also handles to carry the bag as well.

The inner draw is perfect to keep colours, brushes and other staff you need regular.
