Description

Loxley's Merlin Hake Brushes are soft goat-hair brushes with wooden handles.

  • They're flat and wide, so they're ideal for covering large areas, particularly with colour washes, sizing or glue.
  • They're suitable for acrylic, oil, tempera and poster colour and soft enough to use on even the most delicate papers.
  • They hold water exceptionally well, so are perfect for applying thin media.

This set contains three Loxley Merlin Hake Brushes

25th October 2016 Reviewed by Alexander Hills Very soft and gentle brushes. Especially good for adding washes over existing paint because the softness of the hair will not scrub off the dried paint. Good alternative to mops for tackling large areas.

7th July 2016 Reviewed by Cheryl Hine I have only used two of the brushes for washes. So far, so good. Bristles have not malted. Must wash in cold water and leave to dry after use if they are to be preserved.

Only gave 4 out of 5 as I have only started to use them.

12th May 2016 Reviewed by Susanna Heath I bought the product for my art class of ladies as I didn't have enough large wash brushes to go around for watercolour. This is the best value brush set I found. I have my own set I bought ages ago, and it was stood the test of time with no shedding.
