The Fabriano Accademia 120gsm Drawing Paper Roll is artist paper from a maker with over seven centuries’ experience, using both traditional and modern techniques to create the very highest quality products.

  • It has a soft, textured feel, making a wonderful surface for pencil, graphite and particularly charcoal.
  • It’s made from 100% wood, and is both acid- and lignin-free, so you can be sure your artworks will stand the test of time.
  • This roll of 120gsm Fabriano Accademia measures 1.5m by 10m.

Q Would this paper be suitable for brass rubbings???
A

This paper has a slight texture and may be too thick for accurate brass rubbing but we do offer poster rolls which are 80gsm and very smooth which may work better.

Q Is this a recognised archival paper?
A

Yes, Fabriano are a reputable paper manufacturer and this paper is archival.

Q Can this paper be primed with acrylic water based primer and then acrylic paint for the image?
A

This paper could be used in this way, but if the layers of paint are very thick the paper might struggle to support it. Thinner layers of paint should work well.

Q What is the weight of the whole roll of paper (I don't mean the gsm)
A

The weight of the roll as a whole is 1.4 kg

Q How transparent is this paper? Can it be used for tracing?
A

This item is not transparent and would not be sutiable for tracing.
