Faber-Castell's PITT artists' pastel pencils with their oil-free pastel leads are not only as the perfect complement to pastel crayons for any creative artist, but are great for elaborating fine details.

Many artists who enjoy pastel techniques and their versatility but not the dirty hands and coloured dust that accompany them have opted to use special pencils.

  • PITT pastel pencils have a very compact lead which is economical to use.
  • The lead contains a high level of pigment making the pencils ideally suited both to drawing lines and shading as well as blending and merging into delicate colour transitions.
  • The colour selection in this range places a particular emphasis on the muted shades and earth tones that are especially important for pastel drawing.
  • Tin features a vibrant selection of 24 assorted pitt pastel colours, plenty to get creative with!

Faber Castell uses wood from sustainably managed forests.    Coated with an environmentally-friendly water-based paint.

21st September 2021 Reviewed by BARRY TRUEMAN These are probably slightly ** than some pastel pencils which makes them easier to sharpen and maintain a fine point. I find them very useful for adding detail when using with soft pastels.

I would recommend to professional artists, illustrators and students, in fact everyone ! Excellent quality-they feel nice to hold can achieve great variation in tone and blend into or highlight other medium.
