Description

Derwent Artists Pencils are the first colour pencil this prestigious British company ever developed, back in the 1930s, and were previously known as the No. 19 range. It’s easy to see why they’ve stood the test of time.

  • Their traditional round barrel and wide core make them perfect when you want to create broad strokes and free, expressive drawing.
  • They have a slightly waxy texture which blends beautifully and layers well.

They’re also the perfect complement to Derwent’s Studio pencil range, which have exactly the same waxy texture, in the same 120-colour range, but with a slimmer, hexagonal barrel for more precise drawing.

Q&A (4)
Q Are these pencils easily blendable?
A

Yes, these pencils have great blending properties. The firm leads used in these pencils makes them perfect for precise drawings. If you would prefer to use a pencil with a softer pencil lead, we would suggest the Derwent Coloursoft Pencils.

Q What colours come in this set?
A

Deep Cadmium, Orange Chrome, Deep Vermilion, Crimson Lake, Imperial Purple, Spectrum Blue, Prussian Blue, Mineral Green, Grass Green, Golden Brown, Copper Beech, Ivory Black.

Q What shape barrel does this pencil have?
A

This pencil has a round shape barrel.

Q Hello, What's the difference between these and the coloursoft range? Thank you!
A

The Derwent Artists' pencils have a waxy texture, making it ideal for blending and layering. The Coloursoft range have more of soft, velvety texture and is also ideal for blending.
