Description

Edding Paintmarkers are highly permanent paintmarkers which you can use to write or draw on glass, metal, plastic, leather, paper – in fact, just about any smooth surface you care to mention.

  • One of the most versatile pens we've found, you can use them for everything from marking industrial tools to glass painting.
  • The ink flow in Edding Paintmarkers is valve-controlled with a bullet tip for high precision and the low-odour, opaque lacquer finish is waterproof and withstands extremes of both hot and cold.
  • The gloss paint works well on any background, but it's especially striking on dark or transparent surfaces.

Q&A (3)
Q What are these pens used for?
A

Choosing one pen over another will depend on various factors such as the type of mark, surface, scale, type of ink and style of working. Paint markers and liners use paint ink for ultimate colour brilliance. They create fluid marks of opaque colour, and would be great to use on darker surfaces where some lighter coloured transparent inks may not show.

Q What are the differences between the nibs?
A

Felt tip pen nibs come in many different shapes and sizes. The most commonly used is the bullet nib. The roundness of the nib means the stroke will be the same at all times regardless of the angle the pen is held. A brush nib provides brushed strokes of colour not unfamiliar to the effect of using a paint brush and allows for versatility in the kind of marks you can create. Similarly, the chisel nib can be used for a variety of different strokes. Its flat end can be used for curved, thick or thin lines and is particularly good for blocking large areas with colour.

Q What is the opacity of the ink?
A

This pen has an opaque ink, ideal for layering colour or working on dark surfaces.
