Exhibition: A Moment in Time

Philip Thompson is a figurative, abstract sculptor and painter. After earning his BA Hons degree from Loughborough University, Philip went on to complete several public art commissions. His fascination with painting emerged after years of sculpting, bringing a unique depth to his two-dimensional work. Philip approaches painting with a spontaneous intention, allowing his hand to move freely across the canvass or acrylic sheet. While his monochrome and blue paintings appear distinct, they are connected by his unprepared movement of paint - whether forming geometric structures of quick circular flows, for Philip the end result is always exciting, as each new creation arrives with its own unexpected success.
