EXHIBITION: BURNING SISTERHOOD
9th Mar 2024
'Burning Sisterhood' expresses, through colourful figurative paintings, Raquel's own story navigating the depths of women's connection. From experiences of loneliness and inadequacy still lingering from her childhood, finding a way of healing through sisterhood. Her pieces represent moments of deep connection and surrendering, but also triggers and difficult emotions that can be found along the way, and that are necessary in the journey of life.
Raquel is a figurative painter finding beauty in the fullness of the human psyche and emotions. Her work is an introspective journey through her own experiences and growth. Art becomes a mirror reflecting deep emotions and the journey of self-discovery. Raquel delves into the trauma and limiting beliefs that hold us back, finding liberation through connection, movement and creativity. Through her art, we can find beauty and acceptance of the fullness of existence in all its duality. She creates spaces for vulnerability and connection, inviting you to explore the complexities of your own experiences, and find healing in the shared human experience. Join her in this journey towards truth, radical acceptance and love. raquelblazquezart.com
