EXHIBITION: FRESH NOVELTY FOR STAGNANT THOUGHTS

EXHIBITION: FRESH NOVELTY FOR STAGNANT THOUGHTS

3rd Dec 2022

Dan has wandering interests that are reflected in his work. For this exhibition he opted for a simple premise; paintings and drawings of places he has been, yet a place means so much... he is fascinated by landscapes; the way the land ripples, its history, the plants and animals that wander it, seeing place as an intangible sum of many things. A love of traveling and wandering; fresh novelty for stagnant thoughts, has fuelled his obsession with mapping and seeing what's around the corner. Be it Zimbabwe or Snowdonia, Lisbon or Bristol Dan invites you to see the world through his eyes and hopes you enjoy the experience half as much as he has.

Dan Le mesurier has lived and worked in Bristol for 14 years or so, he has organized and been involved in various exhibitions. He makes work that has a surreal quality, fantastical scenes of people, buildings and landscapes grounded in a humane outlook and need to connect. Storytelling through painting, he reflects his outlook through art. danlemesurier.com
