EXHIBITION: MY DIARY IN PICTURES

My Diary in Pictures is a selection of watercolour paintings by Jelena Jovanović, for her debut exhibition at Cass Art Hampstead. Almost 30 years ago, Jelena moved to London from Sarajevo, Former Yugoslavia. Starting a new life as a retiree, in a very different culture and language she didn't yet understand, she invested her solitary time into exploring her surroundings - and found a hobby in capturing it. Jelena's paintings are an observation of the London 'everyday', through the lens of someone who views the mundane as something entirely new.
