The following colours are in this set ;

Q What are these pens used for?
A

Choosing one pen over another will depend on various factors such as the type of mark, surface, scale, type of ink and style of working. Fine liners are perfect for illustration and detailed drawings, the smallest size nib measuring just 0.05mm. They offer intense colour and brilliant lightfastness.

Q What are the differences between the nibs?
A

Felt tip pen nibs come in many different shapes and sizes. The most commonly used is the bullet nib. The roundness of the nib means the stroke will be the same at all times regardless of the angle the pen is held. A brush nib provides brushed strokes of colour not unfamiliar to the effect of using a paint brush and allows for versatility in the kind of marks you can create. Similarly, the chisel nib can be used for a variety of different strokes. Its flat end can be used for curved, thick or thin lines and is particularly good for blocking large areas with colour.

Q Are these pens waterproof?
A

Yes, these are waterproof and will not bleed if used with water.

Q Do these pens work on fabric?
A

Faber-Castell do not recommend using these pens on fabric, as the permanency and light-fastedness is tested only on paper, and results on fabric cannot be guaranteed. The ink might fade or become damaged as the result of washing, and Faber-Castell recommend that if the pens are used on fabric the material should be used as an art piece, not a wearable item that requires regular washing.

The variety of colours is amazig, I love how strong and bright the colours are! I recommend these pens for anyone who is doing handlettering or even calligraphy. I’ve been using them for a while now and the brush hasn’t frayed yet which is always a positive!

4th January 2018 Reviewed by Faithmccabe133 The ink is very pigmented, and the pens come in a good quality box (which is expected for the price of them) however I was expecting the brush nib to be slightly more suited to brush calligraphy, if this is the intended purpose of these pens I would not recommend them. The nib also frays slightly after time and doesn’t perform as good after a while (not smooth lines). I don’t think these pens are an essential but they’re nice to have in a collection.
