The Faber-Castell Grip Plus Mechanical Pencil is a professional instrument for writing or design, built to provide the best possible performance and writing comfort.

With an ergonomic triangular barrel featuring a rubber grip zone, a refillable 0.7mm HB lead that’s spring-mounted within a retractable sleeve and a thick, twist-out eraser in the cap, it’s just about as good as a pencil gets, ensuring hours of fatigue-free work.

The Faber-Castell Grip Plus Mechanical Pencil comes in four barrel colours: Metallic Red, Metallic Blue, Metallic Green and Metallic Black.

Q What are these used for?
A

Mechanical pencils are used for technical drawings and for work where accuracy and precision is required. They do not need sharpening and use lead made to size which is pushed through the body of the pencil to use. This provides a consistent size marking.

Q What size lead shall I go for?
A

This will depend on what you are using the pencil for. Leads are measured by the width of the marking the lead will make. For example, a 0.5mm lead will draw a line that measures 0.5mm thick. Thus, if drawing on a smaller scale, a smaller size lead may be more appropriate. In terms of the grade of the lead, H stands for hard, and B stands for black. A H pencil will offer a lighter marking and a B pencil will offer a darker marking.

Q What material are the leads made of?
A

The leads for these pencils are made from graphite graded from H to B.

Q Hi will this pencil fit into a Filofax pen loop? also what length is it please? Thanks
A

This pen measures 5.5" and should fit into normal sized pen holdings.
