LINOCUT FOR AUTUMN

Come and join this friendly session and become addicted to relief printing. It can be an introduction to linocutting or a chance for experienced printmakers wanting a theme to focus on. Examples and demonstrations will be used to help learners understand design to print process. You will create a design using an Autumn theme, (seedheads, dried leaves etc.). Once your design is finalised you will transfer it to lino and begin cutting. Printing will take place after your lino is cut. You will use a variety of papers, a choice of coloured ink as well as classic black. Once you have created an edition of prints we will have an informal critique on results, share successes and ideas and a chance to review the afternoon.
Mel Sullivan is an experienced and tutor, having taught for over 30 years. Her passion is printmaking and she will show examples of her work and processes at the start of the session. melsullivan.co.uk
