LINOCUT FOR XMAS

Come and create your own unique Xmas card linocut at this friendly printmaking workshop. It will be an introduction to linocut but also a chance for experienced printmakers to make their own seasonal card. Examples and demonstrations will show learners design>print process. You will create your own design on a winter/Xmas theme, bring your own ideas, some images provided for inspiration. Once your idea is sketched out you will transfer to lino and begin cutting. Printing will take place using a variety of papers and inks. Once you have printed an edition of prints Mel will show you how to make them into unique original cards for Xmas. A card that's also a work of art!
Mel Sullivan is an experienced and tutor, having taught for over 30 years. Her passion is printmaking and she will show examples of her work and processes at the start of the session. melsullivan.co.uk
