Luminance 6901 Coloured Pencils from Caran D’Ache combines the highest lightfastness with the smoothness of a permanent lead.

Colours are strongly pigmented and blend very easily. Slightly *** than some other expensive coloured pencils I’ve tried but that means they will last longer. Fab product!

3rd March 2016 Reviewed by Tracy Pittendreigh I was a bit disappointed with the Luminance pencils. I have a set of Caran D'Ache Pablo pencils and expected the Luminance to be better but sadly I find them to be slightly sticky in use on the paper and a bit too soft and waxy. The colours are certainly vibrant and lovely but the texture of the leads which are advertised as being smooth I find a bit gritty and tacky on paper. I'll be sticking with my Pablos from now on.
