MONOPRINT LIKE MATISSE

Get creative and learn a new Printmaking technique! Create Abstract Botanical Prints inspired by Matisse. Using Cut-out techniques inspired by Matisse, create your own Monoprint. Changing up Matisse’s technique, you’ll be using bold and earth tone colours with spray paint onto paper; you’ll be adding texture using Monoprint printmaking techniques. This is a very experimental type of workshop, with the sole focus on creative happiness. Explore unconventional tools to form a texture and abstract shapes. You’ll be scraping away and adding ink to a plate. Using the Cut-out paper techniques, create positive or negative space. This technique is great for graphics, social media, and art in general.

VA Studio is based in Liverpool's vibrant Aspen Yard, Vicki is a dedicated local art facilitator and educator, with expertise in Jewellery production and Printmaking: screen printing, monoprinting, custom laser block printing, paper marbling, and linocut, she creates unique, intricate designs. Very passionate about fostering creativity, they host experimental workshops at Cass Art and various other venues, inspiring the community through hands-on art and craft experiences.

• A1 Cartridge Paper Sheets, cut down to A3 size paper
• Acrylic Paint (colour of your own choice 1 or 2x)
• Liquitex Spray Paint (colour of your own choice 1x)
