Derwent’s uniquely formulated vibrant pastel shades are soft and refreshing coloured paint pains that can be applied as a light wash or layered up without dissolving for a brighter finish.

  • A gouache style pigmented paint within a palette formulation, in soft and playful pastel shades.
  • Layer up in thick opaque layers allowing the colour to dry as a bright, matte finish.
  • Ideal as a complimentary set to our Inktense and Metallic paint sets to create an array of effects.
  • Portable - Ideal for travel and outdoor use with everything needed to paint on the go.
  • Set contains, 12 paint pans, five mixing palettes and a sponge to clean the waterbrush and is ideal for urban sketching and on location art.

3rd June 2021 Reviewed by Marsha Durok I absolutely love these paints! They’re ideal for using in mixed media work because layering them once they’re dry isn’t an issue. I also like the fact that I can make paintings that look like watercolour but are like lightfast and easier to frame.
