Q&A (4)
Q Is this product Cold, Soft or Hot Pressed?
A

This is cold pressed watercolour paper on the roll so it has a slight texture on the surface.

Q Is it 100% cotton?
A

This paper is made from 100% Elemental Chlorine Free pulp.

Q What is the gsm for this paper? Would be able to measure the thickness?
A

This is 300gsm paper. 300gsm paper is usually around 0.425mm thick

Q Is this Fabriano "artistico" or another of their range?
A

Dear Emily Brown,

The watercolour roll is different to the Fabriano Accademia, it has a heavier weight and has more texture to the surface in comparison to the Accademia.

23rd May 2018 Reviewed by Aimee Blackledge This is excellent professional grade watercolour paper with a slight texture. I use it for mixed media (acrylic, sumi ink, oil pastel, pastels and watercolour) and it does not buckle. I was looking for a less expensive and more flexible paper size option comparable to printmaking paper (I’ve been using BFK Rives and Strathmore) and this roll was excellent value for money and will be my new ‘go-to’ paper for studio work.

27th September 2016 Reviewed by Robin Webb Great service from CassArt, high quality paper now being used for a superb community project in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, creating family portraits from various family member's points of view using paint, pencil, animation, video and sound. This paper is standing up well to the vigours of the challenge, and it had money off which is important to us community artists, thanks guys. Will definitely be returning.
