7th October 2016 Reviewed by Hilary Walker This is a good easel. Its only drawback is the putting together of the picture board/canvas holder which is a bit fiddly. I use this easel to take to weekly classes, and putting it together and then apart takes some time. This aspect could be improved.

16th July 2016 Reviewed by Ruth McCabe I ordered this easel for use in a Plein air painting competition. It is lightweight and packages beautifully into a sturdy bag, both of which make it easy to carry over long distances. It was in use over a 12 hour day, in high winds at times, and most of the time supporting an A1 sized board. Very impressive, and testimony to its strength. the fact that it converts for canvases makes it perfect for field use and highly versatile. It even has a cleverly positioned pivoted hanger for hanging water containers etc in the field.

25th May 2016 Reviewed by Hilary Greer Quite light and good range of adjustments(inc horizontal for watercolours)with neat carry bag, but a bit fiddly to assemble/take apart for carrying around. Also apparently designed for artists less than 5'6" tall. Can't fix board/canvas high enough esp small ones. And with legs at full stretch it's hard to adjust angle of canvas and maintain stability of tripod. I like mine more vertical.
More adjustment than similar lighter Jakar model but still not quite as good as I'd hoped. Would work well as a table easel or for display.

21st January 2016 Reviewed by Daniela McGhie I always wanted one of these. Now I have one. Great that one can chose to use it on the desk or sitting in front of it or standing in front. Easy to set up and the legs can be set to many different hights. Also good for travelling in the countryside as its quite light.

28th January 2015 Reviewed by Gillian Corden I have had a lot of easels over my painting life and they never seem to last. I have decided I like metal easels best. This one appears strong and well made, and not likely to fall over, and best of all is a good height, I am 5' 8". It will take a fair sized canvas or board as well as being very good for small sized works.

There is no way to know if a fault is present - all is packaged so you cannot check until you receive and assemble it. The design of the easel is very good, so I am happy with the replacement.
