The session will focus on creating a realistic eye using pastel pencils, providing a structured yet creative approach to portraiture. Whether you are a beginner or looking to refine your pastel skills, this workshop will offer valuable insights into achieving realism with pastels.

Emanuele Colella is an Italian artist who began his journey as a self-taught painter in 2014. He has exhibited his work in Naples, Italy, and has attended various workshops, including one with renowned Spanish artist Antonio Castelló in Toledo. Specializing in realistic portraits and animal portraiture, Emanuele combines precision with expressive detail to bring his subjects to life.

Location: Cass Art Liverpool

Date & times: 27th April 2025, 2:30pm – 4:30pm

Ages: This workshop is suitable for all ages but is generally more suited to adults.

Materials provided: Each participant will receive an A4-sized pastel mat paper. However, attendees must bring their own pastels (sticks or pencils). Attendees can purchase Carbothello pastel pencils or soft pastel sticks at Cass Art Liverpool, where they will receive a 10% discount on their purchase in-store on the day.
