Description

The Mabef M13 is a lyre studio easel in oiled beech wood, featuring sliding canvas supports and an anti-vibration inner spring.

  • It measures 55cm x 65cm x 65cm at the base, with height adjustable up to 2m.
  • It also features a 49cm x 4cm shelf and is suitable for canvases up to 125cm high which makes it perfect for indoor work with either oils or acrylics.
  • The boxed size is 15 x 139 x 14cm.

Q Who is this easel best for?

This easy to assemble easel is heavy weight enough to provide a sturdy support for your surface, but lightweight enough to fold down and transport if needs be. This easel will suit an artist working from home who might need to store this away when not using. It’s flattering shape and smart finish is also popular amongst those needing easels to hold signs at corporate events or weddings.

16th January 2018 Reviewed by Gilly Charkham I got this to paint at home because I didn't have anywhere suitable to prop up a canvas. I'm an intermediate student, and it gives me an incentive to keep practising. I'm really pleased with it. The instructions for assembly could have been much clearer but we got there in the end. It is nicely made and sturdy. Would be tricky to use with very low ceilings as the upright is quite high.

I wanted something light weight, portable, easy to set up, functional and sturdy. The instructions might be clear to others but not to me, however, the picture of the easel gives a good indication as to it's set up. I would buy again if needed.

5th May 2015 Reviewed by Cat Trevena I'm really pleased with this easel. Nice deep shelf to keep a 4cm canvas in place, and fully adjustable. The only area I wouldn't give full marks is its stability, which I'd give 8/10 but bear in mind this is on a carpeted surface so it might be sturdier on a hard floor.
