This Royal Talens Rembrandt Professional Soft Pastel Portrait Selection Set of 225 Full Pastels contains the entire Rembrandt range of 218 colours, plus a few double ups of the most popular colours.

  • The range is beautifully presented within a wooden box.
  • For a soft pastel, they are relatively firm and dry, which means you have a greater degree of control, but once applied they blend fully.
  • The Royal Talens brand of Holland dates back to 1899, and the Rembrandt soft pastel itself to 1924.
  • Now as then, they’’re made with a high concentration of pure pigment, making them highly lightfast, and bound with kaolin clay, the two blended to ensure consistent brilliant colours and an even release.

The colour combinations are all you need. Very yummy! The workmanship of the box is second to none - looks fantastic and would take any bumps or bangs - not that will happen. Just fantastic!!

I've only just started using this wonderful box by Rembrandt and I think they'll be great for backgrounds and underpainting. The colour range is fabulous with some really dark darks.
