PRODUCT & PACKAGING

We work with leading brands who are actively pursuing more environmentally friendly practises, including Colart and the F.I.L.A. Group. We are always on the lookout for environmentally innovative producers, recently partnering with brands such as Pith whose design and manufacture is based on environmental factors. We know certain types of popular artist materials can be difficult for the environment. We are working with our suppliers to encourage innovation & change so that any negative impact can be minimised, or removed entirely via new or alternative product options.

CASS ART BAGS

Our bags for life and plastic Cass Art bags are recyclable, and the profits made from plastic bag sales is used to fund planting trees with Trees for Cities.

CASS ART PACKAGING

We have also switched to recyclable packaging for our ecommerce business, using the least amount of packaging possible to avoid waste.

Our partners are committed to limiting the impact that their operations have on the environment via the reduction of energy consumption & emissions of fuel and greenhouse gases.

SEAWHITE

CupCycling is the world’s first recycling process dedicated to upcycling take-away cups. These innovative cartridge pads are made with 80% recycled content, offering artists and students a fantastic quality paper whilst helping to reduce the amount of plastic sent to landfill.

PITH

Pith materials that are sustainable, recyclable, biodegradable, and vegan wherever possible to create the highest quality products without causing harm to the environment. They save all waste from their production process that will then be integrated into future products.

PEOPLE & PLANET

TREES FOR CITIES

At Cass Art, we’re committed to working towards a greener future, so we’ve teamed up with Trees for Cities, the only UK charity working at a national and international scale to improve lives by planting trees in cities and urban spaces.

ELECTRICAL WASTE

We maintain a policy of minimising electrical waste, which is essential to the cost effective & efficient running of all our sites and operations. We re-use and refurbish electrical goods where we can.

WAREHOUSE & LOGISTICS

Our partners are committed to limiting the impact that their operations have on the environment via the reduction of energy consumption & emissions of fuel and greenhouse gases. By considering the best use of raw materials and using recycled & recyclable products where possible, they minimise waste and water usage as well as promoting environmental awareness across all levels of their business.

STAFF UNIFORM

Our store retail teams staff uniform is made from responsibly sourced cotton.

FIRST MILE

We recycle across all our stores and Head Office, meaning that waste across all of our sites is Zero-to-landfill. All non-recyclable business waste is sent to generate green energy.

ENERGY & CARBON FOOTPRINT

Any waste from our operating sites is transported in carbon-neutral, low emission fleets by First Mile. We are also working to reduce the amount of energy used to produce, transport and sell our products - by making our processes more energy efficient, getting staff to switch off & replacing less efficient equipment.

We would like to report on our environmental performance on a yearly basis and make sure we continue our commitment to sustainability, keeping environmental issues alive in the hearts of our staff & customers.

We appreciate any feedback.
