In the first of a new series of online interviews exploring the personal stories of artists Jake Spicer talks to artist, curator and educator Professor Anita Taylor about how she became one of the most influential voices in contemporary drawing. During the interview we hear about her early life and education and how she balances her roles as founding director the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize & Drawing Projects UK with her personal practice as an artist and her role as Dean of DJCAD at the University of Dundee. About Anita Taylor

Professor Anita Taylor is a widely exhibited artist and Dean of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design at the University of Dundee. She is the founding Director of the UKs foremost annual drawing exhibition, the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize (previously the Jerwood Drawing Prize) and Drawing Projects UK, a public-facing initiative dedicated to drawing.
