From Caran D'ache, the great Swiss drawing-material company, comes the Neocolor wax pastels. They are soft and bright, with excellent lightfastness and covering power. You can use them for dry or wet drawing, including colour washes, and though they are firmer than oil pastels, you can smudge them on the paper.
