CREATIVE MONOPRINT WORKSHOP

CREATIVE MONOPRINT WORKSHOP

1st Aug 2024

This hands-on Printmaking Workshop focuses on Monoprint and Monotype techniques. This creative session will guide you through the process of designing your own unique prints using printmaking materials. You’ll learn how to compose an image, experiment with texture, and mix colours to bring your ideas to life. Whether you’re a beginner or have some experience, this workshop is designed to spark your creativity and expand your skills. This workshop will help you create an original work using monoprint equipment (suitable for kids). Working with different objects on the surface will contribute to interdisciplinary creativity.

The workshop is led by Merve Kahraman, a contemporary artist and art teacher with over a decade of formal education in fine arts. She holds an Honours Degree in Art Education in the Printmaking field and a Master’s Degree in Painting in Izmir/Turkey. Merve’s practice explores abstract and figurative forms through mixed media and printmaking, and her work has been featured in exhibitions such as the Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair. With a deep passion for sharing knowledge, she brings both technical expertise and a creative, supportive approach to teaching.
