A guide to using Montana spray paints

As part of Montana’s aim to reduce the waste they’ve removed the traditional spray paint cap in favour of a black safety ring underneath the nozzle which prevents the can from being sprayed. To begin using Montana take out the nozzle and remove the black ring, then replace the nozzle.

Remember to shake well, these spray paints contain a high amount of pigment for strong coverage.

For best results:

  1. Remove the safety ring by taking off the nozzle and turning the can upside down.
  2. Turn the can upside down and strike the bottom with the palm of your hand to loosen the ball bearings and the pigment in the can.
  3. Shake for at least two minutes.
  4. After shaking the can, replace the nozzle carefully.
  5. Spray a small amount on a test surface as a small amount of solvent may come out before the pigment.

Once you’re finished turn the can upside down and spray until the stream runs clear, this will help clear the nozzle.
