EXHIBITION: A NEW PERSPECTIVE

EXHIBITION: A NEW PERSPECTIVE

30th Aug 2024

"A NEW PERSPECTIVE" explores the multifaceted nature of human experience through the lens of linear perspective. From the familiar ground of one-point perspective to the mind-bending possibilities of five-point, this exhibition presents a visual journey. Each artwork, depicting diverse locations and viewpoints, invites viewers to question their own perspectives and consider the profound impact of shifting one's outlook on life.

Joshua Mansano is an illustrator deeply inspired by the ever-changing world around him. Driven by a desire to capture the essence of both natural and urban landscapes, Joshua frequently engages in plein air painting, observing and capturing fleeting moments in nature and city life. This direct engagement with the environment serves as the foundation for their artistic practice. Joshua Mansano's work reflects an impressionistic style, emphasising the atmosphere and mood of the subject rather than strict realism. Through the use of vibrant colours, expressive brushwork, and a focus on light and shadow, they aim to convey the fleeting beauty and ever-changing nature of their surroundings. Influenced by the likes of Bob Ross, Claude Monet, and Quentin Blake Joshua's artistic philosophy centres on finding beauty in the everyday, embracing spontaneity, and allowing his own unique perspective to shine through in his work.
