Ronan McGeough is a contemporary Irish painter based in London. With a background in fine arts from the Limerick School of Art and Design.

 

Influenced by the Neo-Expressionism such as George Baselitz and Julian Schnabel, Ronan's current body of work is about exploring the themes and ancient narratives from Irish Mythology and in some cases how they relate to his own ontological journey since emigrating from Ireland. He Mixes these stories with different cultural studies, psychology, and philosophy and then reinterprets them by putting them onto the canvas.

 

 

Ronan's work has been exhibited in galleries across (e.g Europe and the United States), and he has received numerous awards, including the (Insert award).
