BOOKBINDING: CREATIVE WORKSHOP

BOOKBINDING: CREATIVE WORKSHOP

17th Sep 2024

In this workshop you will learn several bookbinding techniques, starting with do-si-do or pamphlet style and stab stitch, then landing on coptic stitch. These can be used for making more personalised sketch/notebooks for personal use or a gift, with either pre-designed covers or other materials to go a little crazy with.

Topics covered:

  • Pamphlet style: a single covered section containing however many signatures one desires sewn snuggly together
  • Do Si Do Pamphlet style: a two sided section containing however many signatures one desires on both sides
  • Stab stitch style: a more notepad look, with limited folding and as many pages as one can fit between two thick covers
  • Coptic stitch style: classic bookbinding with more sections of signatures between two covers
