Neocolor II by Caran d'Ache are superior artists' quality water-soluble wax based pastels which are are soft and easy to apply.
They contain high pigment concentration which allows for bright, opaque colours and excellent lightfastness as well as being watersoluble. They are easy to work with, you can use them for dry or wet drawing, including colour washes, and though they are firmer than oil pastels, you can smudge them on the paper.
