Q&A (6)
Q Hi, Can you tell me if the ink can be refillable once the ink runs out? Thanks
A

The ink in these pens can't be replaced, but with others such as the promarkers and copics you can find ink bottles to fill them again.

Q What are these pens used for?
A

Choosing one pen over another will depend on various factors such as the type of mark, surface, scale, type of ink and style of working. Felt tip pens are ideal for broad applications of colour and covering large areas. Depending on the scale you are working in, felt tip pens could also be used for sketching and writing.

Q Are these pens waterproof?
A

Yes, these are waterproof and will not bleed if used with water.

Q What are the differences between the nibs?
A

Felt tip pen nibs come in many different shapes and sizes. The most commonly used is the bullet nib. The roundness of the nib means the stroke will be the same at all times regardless of the angle the pen is held. A brush nib provides brushed strokes of colour not unfamiliar to the effect of using a paint brush and allows for versatility in the kind of marks you can create. Similarly, the chisel nib can be used for a variety of different strokes. Its flat end can be used for curved, thick or thin lines and is particularly good for blocking large areas with colour.

Q Does the set of 60 come in the fineliner tip?
A

These pens have brush nibs rather than fineliner tips.

Q What colours are in this box?
A

The list is too long to post here, but please find full details in the graph in this document https://www.faber-castell.fr/~/media/Faber-Castell-new/Fields-of-Competence/art-graphic/pdfs/BROS-Pitt-Artist-Pen-A5-ENG.ashx

15th April 2016 Reviewed by Maria Nicolette Alexandrou I am using this set for my fashion design and illustration course. I needed pens with a wide variety of colours. I also needed to do different shading on my drawings. These are perfect for that!
Anyone wishing to do illustration work with pens who wants the flexibility to lighten and darken tones in their drawing for a more 3D effect would love these brush style pens! If you need to add colours later you can but these are more than enough. Great quality product from a great brand. Love the presentation box too!

27th December 2015 Reviewed by Madeleine Pringle As an illustration student I'm going to use these pens very frequently to create work - recently have used to blend and do beautiful coloured line art. Perhaps not the best pen out there, but Faber Castells pitt pens are good quality for the money, especially considering other popular brands can set you back £200 for a set. These pens don't bleed through the paper either which is a wonderful relief, though some of the lighter colours sometimes produce a streaky effect when you go over the area once or twice with the pen. This set is ridiculously beautiful though especially when you tie the string that allows the pens to be tiered to get a hold of them more easily when using them. Cassarts is the cheapest place I found these as well, considering the online discount was able to be put together with my student discount so this was a lot cheaper than any other site! Really good value for money and I will be recommending these to my friends.

5th September 2015 Reviewed by Kathleen Gunther I use them for sketching although I would recommend them to any artist wishing to try a different medium, for any form of illustration. My first impressions are; nicely packaged, a good range of colours, nice depth of colour though not too vibrant. The brush has a nice feel to it and I'm looking forward to using this set in earnest. The price was good too.

23rd July 2015 Reviewed by Colette Sweeney These pens are about the best I've ever used and I do have quite a collection of similar pens in different brands.
I've always found it worth paying a bit more, they're better quality and last longer than the cheap ones.
And these were at a great bargain price too.

11th February 2015 Reviewed by Hadrian Delacey Got these as the set is such good value compared to anywhere else online or in store.
I've added these to my various collections of pens, pencils and pastels, but I've only used them a couple of times so far. They are superb pens to work with, and look very smart in their box. Inevitably I've doubled up on some of the colours with pens I've bought before ( the greyscale set and the skin tones for example), but that still leaves me with over 40 new colours to play with, and I'll rarely run dry! I wouldn't recommend these as kids pens, they're too good quality. They're for the serious artist and/or Illustrator. A fine product at a seriously good price.
