EXHIBITION: FRANCESCO CONTI
28th Jun 2024
Born in Rome and based in London, Francesco Conti brings a unique perspective to contemporary art, blending a background in scientific research, in particular in developmental biology and researching treatments for genetics diseases, with a passion for painting. Working primarily in oil and acrylic, his work explores themes of urban alienation, mortality, and sin, capturing the haunting beauty of decayed cityscapes and their echoes of past lives. The interplay of public figures with religious or popular iconography adds a compelling narrative depth.
Francesco has exhibited internationally at prestigious venues such as the ING Discerning Eye Exhibition (London), C24 Gallery (New York), and 508 Gallery (Chelsea). Their accolades include the Daler Rowney Award and winner in the Best of Acrylics competition (2019). www.francjs.com
