Schmincke Gum Arabic is the binding ingredient within their professional Horadam Watercolour and Gouache ranges. Mixed with colour it can be used to improve adhesion of washes or undercoats, as well as increase gloss, transparency and intensity of colour.
Available in a 60ml jar.
It offers a more viscous, oilier flow, perfect in creating broad washes, allowing for greater control.
It also slows the evaporation of colour, offering a longer working time.
This product can also be used to increase transparency and gloss of watercolour or gouache.
Gum Arabic is dilutable with water; dries to a wipe resistant film, yet remains water-soluble.
