  • Flagship Store Manager

    Islington, London Permanent / Full Time Details

    As the Store Manager of our Flagship Store in Islington you will be working as an integral part of the company retail business management function, optimising the commercial performance of our Flagship store by identifying business opportunities to drive sales and promote products. Central to this will be you leading, inspiring and developing your team to achieve and exceed sales and profit targets set, as well as assist in growing the business through compliance, operational excellence, marketing development, business acumen and commercial flair. You will be used to implementing CRM and focusing on customer centric strategies to uphold a culture of the customer at the heart of everything, ensuring an exceptional in-store customer experience and reflection of the Company core values at the highest level.

     Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities, (Include but are not limited to):

    • Effectively analyse and manage the controllable costs and losses within your allocated budget in order to ensure a profitable performance across the board for the store.
    • Maximise revenue through events, promotions, workshops and activity in line with the Trade plan
    • Analyse trade information and make commercial decisions to increase revenue
    • Proactively monitor store sales, developing strategies to strive to meet and exceed sales targets set.
    • Monitor retail performance and local sales trends, report on performance in the business area,
    • Coordinate the retail inductions/training of all new staff in the Islington store
    • Clearly and concisely communicate the business, and store objectives to the team to ensure they remain well informed of business and company activity and of their required contribution to those goals and targets.
    • Identify and proactively support the development of talented individuals to support area succession plans and talent
    • Team management-including recruitment, interviewing, rotas, training, employee relations and discipline.
    • Develop a positive and empowering working environment resulting in team retention and a reduction in employee turnover.
    • Work extensively in partnership with the Marketing dept. and Head of Retail Operations & Sales on local marketing strategies and CRM development
    • Understand the local market conditions through competitor visits and market analysis, with the purpose of making appropriate and innovative recommendations to drive the business forward.
    • Network and build applicable Business relationships for the development of the business and the brand.

    Desired Knowledge Skills & Experience

    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience of managing a standalone retail store (or Department Store floor) in excess of £2 million turnover, or a cluster of stores 
    • Demonstrable ability to express a track record of commercial success throughout your career
    • Experience of one on one customer service and sales environments
    • Strong leadership skills and flair, with the proven ability to manage and motivate a first class sales team and specialist ambassadors.
    • Excellent communicator, with a positive, open and progressive, energetic, motivating, personal style
    • Proven track record of exceeding sales and profit targets through inspirational leadership, coaching, business development and customer service.
    • Demonstrable training and development experience.
    • Numerate and analytical, excellent financial business acumen
    • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
    • Commercially savvy with strong business acumen and market awareness.
    • Affinity with the Cass Art brands and products
  • Supervisor (Kingston)

    Kingston, London Permanent / Part Time Details

    As a Supervisor in our Kingston Store you will be working as part of the wider store management team assisting in operational excellence and sales growth. This role is also responsible for the day to day running of the shop floor (sometimes unsupervised), together with supporting the Store Manager and Assistant Manager in direct line management responsibility for all Retail Sales Assistants and Key Holders.

    This role covers 24 hours per week.

     Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

    • Supervise the shop floor and till areas
    • Assume duty management responsibility including Store opening and closure in the absence of a Store Manager/Assistant Manager
    • Process refunds and exchanges in line with the company policy
    • Promote and maintain customer service standards
    • Team management-including recruitment and discipline
    • In conjunction with the Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager plan effective rotas to ensure adequate staffing levels during all trading hours and staffing costs are in line with budget
    • Report to the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager any stock, customer service or staffing issues which are affecting the business

    Desired Knowledge Skills & Experience

    • Retail Team Management experience skills gained at a similar level
