Enjoy this exhibition of minimalistic atmospheric watercolours by Jurga Vilimaite. Simple objects – flowers, fruit, and some architecture are painted by showing the essence of the object, the impression (not the semblance). This painting style is similar to meditation - it brings ease and joy to the process, however, it requires focus - as most of the strokes that are put on the paper are not possible to "undo".
Jurga started her official art journey at the Art Academy in Vilnius, Lithuania, where she gained a Masters of Art degree. After that, she worked in the advertising industry as Creative director, also studying at the Sumi-e (Japanese ink painting and calligraphy) school of D.Doksaite. Jurga moved to London in 2004, where she now lives, creates, works and teaches classes for individuals, corporate teams and retreats. jurga.co.uk
