The second Contemporary British Portrait Painters exhibition at the Department Store assembles new work from more than fifty of the country’s most accomplished figurative artists and returns the collective to Brixton, London.

The collective invites everyone to share in its passion for portraiture – that genre of art whose creation most actively encourages reflection and community between sitters, painters and the viewers who give those connections meaning.

Exhibiting artists include: Alastair Adams, Samira Addo, Kayoon Anderson, Mary-Jane Ansell, Wendy Barratt, Simon Bartram, Ange Bell, Paul Benney, Tim Benson, James Bland, Ilsa Brittain, Clive Bryant, Martyn Burdon, Darren Butcher, Jonathan Chan, Tom Croft BEM, James Crowther, Belinda Crozier, Peter Davis, Simon Davis, Mark Draisey, Susanne Du Toit, Belinda Eaton, Miriam Escofet, Samantha Fellows, Peter James Field, Jane French, Ian Goldsmith, James Hague, Philip Harris, Geoffrey Harrison, Steven Higginson, Curtis Holder, Owain Hunt, Jeannie Kinsler, Sadie Lee, Catherine MacDiarmid, Stuart McHarrie, Peter Monkman, Sarah Jane Moon, Celia Maria Mora Garcia, Patrick Morales-Lee, Charles Moxon, Oriane Pierrepoint, Anastasia Pollard, Caroline Pool, Laura Quinn Harris, Carl Randall, Simona Ruscheva, Joseph Ryan, Moussa David Saleh, Duncan Shoosmith, Lucy Stopford, Liesel Thomas, Andrew Tift, Tomas Watson, Oliver Winconek and Martha Zmpounou.
