To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Caran d’Ache unveils five Special Edition sets, enriched with 15 new colours, grouped into five thematic palettes: Pop, Lush, Portrait, Pastel and Dark. Each box of 10 colours features three of the 15 new shades.

Neocolor II Aquarelle by Caran d'Ache are superior artists' quality water-soluble wax based pastels which are are soft and easy to apply, both dry or wet.

They contain high pigment concentration which allows for bright, opaque colours and excellent lightfastness as well as being watersoluble. They are easy to work with, you can use them for dry or wet drawing, including colour washes, and though they are firmer than oil pastels, you can smudge them on various materials (including paper, cardboard, wood, pottery, stone, cork, metal, glass, etc.)
