EXHIBITION: ON THE WAY
26th Mar 2025
On The Way brings together three emerging contemporary painters whose practices converge around the themes of connection, journeys, and the spaces in between. Each artist translates movement - both physical and emotional - into dynamic compositions that capture the uncertainty and beauty of change. This exhibition creates a dialogue between three distinct visual languages, meeting within an exploration of colour, line and texture. Featuring paintings, sculptures and drawings, On The Way is a vibrant celebration of collaboration and interpretations of the world around us.
Anna Godleman: Godleman’s illustration background is integral to her practice; through documenting the repetition and the routine of journeys, finding inspiration from commuting.
Emma Nightingale: Nightingale is a British artist whose intricate paintings and sculptural works explore themes of escapism, reverie, and psychoanalysis.
Erik Peterson: Through processing and distorting maps, drawings, and photographs, Peterson creates webs of sprawling interconnected trails and composted layers of information.
Their Goals are to foster dialogue around the subject matter, encouraging viewers to see the everyday with renewed inspiration and curiosity. To highlight the synergy between three distinct artistic voices, showcasing the diversity and vitality of contemporary painting. To engage the local community through visual storytelling - celebrating our shared environment.
