EXHIBITION: MARKS OF REFLECTION - SKY ARTS PORTRAIT ARTIST OF THE YEAR 2025 SEMI-FINALISTS

21st Dec 2024

Noho Showroom will host an exclusive exhibition of works by the semi-finalists of Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year 2025. Bringing together a selection of emerging and established talents from across the UK, the exhibition offers an insight into the breadth and vitality of contemporary portraiture today. Each artist represented has demonstrated exceptional skill and vision in this year’s edition of the acclaimed television competition, renowned for uncovering some of the most compelling new voices in figurative art.

Spanning painting, drawing, and mixed media, the works on display reflect the diverse approaches that continue to redefine the portrait tradition — from meticulous realism to bold, expressive experimentation. Collectively, they offer a compelling snapshot of the state of portraiture in 2025.

In conjunction with the exhibition, Noho Showroom will host “A View on Portraiture”, a special panel discussion featuring Kate Bryan (art historian, curator and broadcaster) and Curtis Holder (artist and Portrait Artist of the Year 2020 winner). Together, the speakers will explore the evolving role of portraiture in contemporary art and the enduring power of the painted face.

Artists include: Chloe Barnes, Courtney Bae, Edie Bound, Katie Jones, Lauren Ross, Paulina Kwietniewska, Uthman Wahaab.

Location: Noho Showroom, 67 Great Titchfield Street, London W1W 7PT
