R&F Pigment Sticks

R&F Pigment Sticks are handmade from professional oil paint combined with enough wax to allow the paint to be carefully milled and moulded into stick form.

They enable artists to draw or paint directly onto a surface without the need for brushes, palettes, paint tubes, or solvents. Composed of pure alkali-refined linseed oil and purified natural plant and beeswax, these highly pigmented professional oil sticks have a soft, lipstick-like consistency that provides the same fluidity as traditional oil colours.

• They can be manipulated using a palette knife until the paint is a buttery consistency, so that it can be brushed or knifed onto the surface. This method can be used to mix colours either on the palette or in the painting.
