Polychromos Colour Pencils

Faber Castell Polychromos Pencils are a unique tool in the world of sketching. They are oil based, as opposed to being wax based like other pencils, allowing them to blend with solvents, like turpentine or white spirit in a similar way to how you would blend oil paints. They offer a soft lively colour and are water resistant. Artists use these because of the high grade pigments and lightfastness which means they’ll last for years.

Albrecht Durer Watercolour Pencils

Faber-Castell Albrecht Durer Artists' Watercolour Pencils are used by artists the world. Their thick, perfectly water-soluble leads contain pigments that are lightfast and the intense colours produce beautifully smooth strokes. Use them dry as you would any traditional pencil, or add water to create all the effects you'd expect from watercolours but in a convenient pencil form.

Graphite Aquarelle Pencils

The Faber-Castell Graphite Aquarelle Pencils bring you something particularly unique - water-soluble pencils in varying degrees of hardness. Available in HB, 2B, 4B, 6B and 8B, when you add water with a paintbrush, the graphite dissolves completely, to leave strokes that are waterproof once dry. You can use them for shading and depth, for watercolour styles or sketches, and mixed-media.
