ABOUT THE STORE

Our Kensington store is only 50 metres from the Design Museum, with its nearest tube station being High Street Kensington. A ten-minute walk from Kensington Olympia. Inside, you’ll find a broad, considered range of materials, from core student essentials through to professional, artist-grade supplies across painting, drawing and mixed media. There’s a dedicated workshop space downstairs, used for regular sessions and practical, hands-on learning.

Our staff are all practising artists, so the advice comes from real use in the studio. They can help you choose the right materials for what you’re making, explain how different products behave, and suggest alternatives based on how you like to work. They’re also closely involved in the workshops we run in-store. If you’re looking to try something new or develop a technique, they can point you towards upcoming sessions and talk through what to expect.

Our shop is wheelchair accessible on the ground floor only.

Click & Collect is also available to this store.

“You’re surrounded by places where work is carefully made and considered — from the Design Museum to Holland Park. The store sits in that rhythm. Artists behind the counter, strong materials across the board, and space to figure out what actually works for you.”

OLIVER DOBSON

CASS ART KENSINGTON

Currently looking at interpersonal relationships, his paintings aim to blur the lines between lived experience and forgotten memories, creating an amalgamation of physical and ghost-like objects within one scene. Oliver uses the materiality of the mundane as a canvas to work from, resulting in added context to the paintings in a more intimate way. With both the material of the canvas, and content of the paintings, the viewer is invited to read into his works, creating their own personal narratives where the inactive space lies.

THE ART SPACE

Located only 50 metres from the Design Museum, a short walk from High Street Kensington tube station, the Kensington Art Space comprises the staircase between the ground and lower-ground floor of our Kensington store and a workshop area situated on the lower-ground floor. Local artists may apply to exhibit their work on the staircase walls and run creative activities for the public.

HUGO LAMI

CASS ART KENSINGTON

Lami's work addresses our social dependence and identity crisis caused by the absurdity of the digital and the virtual world. His work depicts myths and dreams of landscapes and organisms in constant interaction and evolution trying to define their identity.
