Paper Architecture Workshop: Liverpool Architecture Festival

Paper Architecture Workshop: Liverpool Architecture Festival

26th May 2025

Be a part of the Liverpool Architecture Festival with this children's creative workshop. Children will create from a milk bottle-shaped structure inspired by a traditional terraced house. One side will become the façade, while the other side will be cut away to reveal a simple multi-level interior - similar to a dollhouse.

On the exterior, children can draw and cut out windows and doors, decorate façades, and add details such as chimneys, smoke, animals, or plants. Inside, they can create a simple cardboard interior or illustrate furniture and rooms directly onto the surfaces. Each child will also invent a character who might live in the house, bringing the space to life through storytelling and imagination. Older children can focus on adding intricate details and personalised elements, while younger children can approach the activity more freely through colour, shape, and expressive mark-making.

Liverpool Architecture Festival 2026, Futures runs from Thursday 21st May 2026 - Sunday 21st June 2026. The theme for LAF26 is Futures and our values of Community, Inclusivity and Climate will be at the forefront of the festival. Liverpool Architecture Foundation CIC is funded by donations. They welcome any financial contributions that would help LAF CIC continue to deliver free-to-attend educational, fun, inclusive events throughout the Liverpool City Region. laf-uk.com
